Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the urban area came under significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the region, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
